"Interactive XR Immersion" represents the culmination of our extensive research into the interaction of Spatial (3D) Audio techniques and Extended reality (XR). This project aims to push the boundaries of auditory and visual experiences by exploring the interplay between music, recording technologies, and multimedia elements. What is Spatial Audio?

Spatial Audio, or 3D Audio, is a transformative technology that creates a more realistic and immersive sound experience by simulating how we naturally perceive sound in our environment. Unlike traditional stereo audio, Spatial Audio positions sound in a three-dimensional space, offering listeners an unparalleled sense of immersion.

 

Our research focuses on several key areas:

  • Music Composition: creating distinct compositions across various genres to demonstrate the extensive range of our research.
  • Advanced Recording Techniques: Utilizing Multichannel and binaural recording to capture high-fidelity Spatial audio.
  • Advanced Spatial (3D) Mixing: Exploring cutting edge 3D Audio technologies like Dolby Atmos, Ambisonics, Binaural etc.
  • Psychoacoustic: Exploring HRTF, Impulse Response, BRIR, reverberation, delay, and various other auditory factors.
  • Interaction with XR: Merging Spatial Audio with VR, MR, and AR to create holistic audio-visual experiences.
